SHIPPING POLICY

At Wildfire Preparedness, we strive to ensure your orders are processed and shipped efficiently so you can receive your emergency preparedness products as quickly as possible. Please review our shipping policy for details on processing times, shipping methods, and any applicable fees.

Processing Times

  • Order Processing: All orders are processed within 1-3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays). During high-demand periods, order processing may take an additional 2-3 days. We will notify you if there are any delays with your order.

  • Order Cutoff Time: Orders placed before 5:00 PM PST will be processed the same day. Orders placed after this time will be processed on the next business day.

 

Shipping Methods and Delivery Times​​

We offer several shipping options to ensure flexibility for our customers:

  • Standard Shipping: Estimated delivery within 5-7 business days.

  • Expedited Shipping: Estimated delivery within 2-3 business days.

Delivery times are calculated after the order has been processed. Please note that delivery times may vary depending on your location and external factors such as weather or carrier delays.

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates will be calculated at checkout based on the weight and size of your order, as well as your location. You will have the opportunity to review and select your preferred shipping method before finalizing your purchase.

Shipping Restrictions

  • Domestic Shipping: We currently ship across Canada.

  • International Shipping: At this time, we do not offer international shipping. However, we may expand our shipping locations in the future.

  • Oversized Items: Some of our larger products, such as water pumps and DIY wildfire mitigation kits, may require special shipping arrangements. These items may incur additional shipping fees, which will be calculated and presented at checkout.

 Duties and Taxes for Imported Products


As we expand our offerings to include products imported from the United States into Canada, we want to make our customers aware of their responsibilities regarding duties and taxes. Please note that any duties, taxes, or additional fees associated with the importation of products from the US into Canada are the sole responsibility of the customer.

When you place an order with us for products being imported from the US, you are agreeing to cover any and all applicable duties and taxes that may be imposed by Canadian customs. These charges are not included in the product price or shipping fees and will vary based on the product's value and the regulations set forth by Canadian customs authorities.

Wildfire Preparedness will not be liable for any additional costs incurred due to duties or taxes and we encourage our customers to be informed about these potential charges prior to making a purchase. For further details about the import process, we recommend contacting your local customs office.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. You can use this tracking number to monitor your order’s progress and estimated delivery date.

Missed or Delayed Deliveries

While we strive to ensure timely deliveries, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally cause delays. If your order hasn’t arrived within the estimated delivery window, please reach out to us at support@wildfire-preparedness.com or call 1-250-939-8380. We will assist in tracking your package and ensuring it reaches you as soon as possible.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

  • Lost Shipments: If your order is marked as delivered but you haven’t received it, please contact us within 7 days, and we will assist in locating your package.

  • Damaged Shipments: If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your shipment. We may request photos of the damage for verification and will work to resolve the issue by offering a replacement or refund.

Changes to Your Shipping Address

If you need to update your shipping address after placing an order, please contact us as soon as possible at support@wildfire-preparedness.com. Address changes can only be made if your order has not yet been shipped.

RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

At Wildfire Preparedness, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not happy with an item or if it arrives damaged, we’re here to help! Please review our return and exchange policies for each product category.

General Return Policy

  • Eligibility: Returns or exchanges are accepted within 30 days of the purchase date. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition as when you received them.

  • Proof of Purchase: To process a return or exchange, you must provide a receipt or proof of purchase (e.g., order number, invoice).

  • Non-Returnable Items: Certain products are non-returnable for hygiene and safety reasons, including:

    • Opened food supplies

    • Water filtration systems that have been used

    • Customized or special-order products, such as DIY wildfire mitigation kits

Categories and Specific Guiidlines

  1. Food Supplies:

    • Due to health and safety regulations, food items are only eligible for return if they are damaged or defective upon delivery. Unopened and sealed packages may be returned within 30 days.

  2. Emergency Kits:

    • If you are unsatisfied with an emergency kit, it may be returned within 30 days. All contents must be unused and in their original packaging.

  3. Water Storage/Filtration:

    • Unused water storage containers can be returned within 30 days.

    • Water filtration systems must be unopened and unused to be eligible for a return. If a filtration system is defective, please contact us for a replacement.

  4. Fire Fighting Gear (Water Pumps, Hoses, DIY Kits):

    • Due to the large and technical nature of these items, returns will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us within 30 days for any issues with these products, such as manufacturing defects.

    • For DIY kits, once assembly has begun, parts cannot be returned.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your product arrives damaged or defective, please notify us within 7 days of receipt. We will provide a replacement or issue a refund, including shipping costs. Please send photos of the damaged item and packaging to support@wildfire-preparedness.com.

Return Process

  1. Contact us at support@wildfirepreparedness.com or call our customer service team at 1-250-939-8380 to initiate the return process.

  2. We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions for shipping the product back.

  3. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or you received the wrong product.

  4. Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days, and the credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method.

 

Exchanges

If you need to exchange an item, please follow the return process mentioned above. Once your return is approved, we will send out the replacement item.

Refunds

Refunds will be issued once the returned item has been received and inspected. Refunds typically take 7-10 business days to process and will be credited back to your original form of payment.
